Combined Science (Physics and Chemistry)
Goal
- Ensure that students establish a complete understanding on the basics of O level Combined Science – Physics and Chemistry .
- Ensure that students are able to grasp the concept behind each definition in both Chemistry and Physics via understanding rather than memorizing
- Emphasis on accuracy and reasoning in Physics and Chemistry calculations and application questions respectively
Approach
- Adopt a ‘question after explanation’ method to ensure that students fully understand each part of the lesson
- Focus on application of various concepts to promote critical thinking and analytical skills using Prelim and TYS questions
Chemistry
Goal
- Ensure that students have a complete and thorough understanding of O level Chemistry, especially for Chemical Calculations
- Coverage of all topics with particular emphasis on Chemical Energy, Electrolysis and Organic Chemistry
Approach
- Mind Map notes or Key notes with important learning points especially for organic chemistry

Physics
Goal

- Understand O level Physics principles through problem solving and learning by application of these principles to daily life examples
- Make key notes with important learning points
- Focus on application of various concepts to promote higher order thinking and analytical skills using Prelim and TYS questions
Biology
Goal
- Ensure that students achieve a strong grasp of all the ‘O’ level concepts in every single topic
- Students will develop effective answering techniques with emphasis on key words and linking concepts
Approach
- Using animations and diagrams to help students visualize complex molecular details of body systems
- Understanding and remembering concepts of biology by relating it to familiar experiences in our everyday lives
- Practise TYS questions and top school prelim papers to prepare students for tackling higher order application questions
Additional Mathematics
Goal
- To equip students with problem solving skills in order to tackle challenging questions
- To empower students with keen observation skills and a meticulous attitude towards Math to prevent unnecessary mathematical errors

- Ensure that students are well versed with their Secondary 3 Math topics before moving on to Secondary 4

- Use of Ten-Year-Series questions for practice and understanding
- Exposure to top schools’ Math questions to build up their confidence and application skills
